This is a practical and empowering 6 week program that you can use day to day to experience a positive, proactive and empowered perimenopause, get excited about this transition and look forward to supporting your body and soul using nutrition and other natural modalities.
This course is for you if you are peri menopausal and thinking, what on Earth is going on! You want to find out more about managing your symptoms, learn how to balance your hormones naturally, start to make sense of what is happening to your body right now and meet and be supported by other women going through the same .
Over the 6 weeks I will introduce you in a step by step approach to a naturopathic approach to coping with, and making peri menopause a much less erratic and chaotic time . I’ll teach you what your body needs right now, and how to make that happen as you go through this change.
You’ll understand why symptoms are happening, and what is actually going on in your body. The seemingly erratic and chaotic appearance of symptoms and changes in your physical and emotional as well as your mental health and wellbeing will all start to make sense.
Perimenopause is not a disease, and for the majority of women a natural approach will allow them to transition through the big hormonal shifts with ease . This approach will allow you to feel empowered and tooled up to deal with the shifts and changes
You will find out why symptoms such as anxiety, depression, weight gain, fatigue, palpitations, brain fog, irritability, vaginal dryness, itching, joint pain , bloating, insomnia, are happening AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT THEM!
You will be back in the drivers seat and many, if not all of your symptoms may well become a thing of the past.
The foundations of this course are based around nutrition. I will teach you how to nourish the very cells of your body properly and during the 6 weeks you will understand the importance of getting this right.
You are what you eat and never more so than now !
I will also introduce other healing techniques to complement the process because while food and nutrition is the first thing to address, it is definitely not the only thing.
You will find tons of information on the internet, but it is so hard to pull it all together into a cohesive plan that works and is easy to navigate for day to day application and that is exactly what this course will give you.
You will learn so much about yourself .The biggest gift I feel will be the support you will get, and a relaxing into the process because the seemingly endless array of symptoms will begin to calm down, it wont all feel so bewildering .
Its so important to feel nurtured and cared for and understood as we transition into the next phase of our beautiful lives.
How long is the course?
The course will be 6 weeks long. Each session will last for 2 hours. We will meet in person, in community.
Where will it be held?
The in person class will be held at Todfellow’s Yoga Space in Todmorden. This is near the train station for people coming from further afield . It is in the centre of Todmorden with good access and plenty of free parking surrounding it.
The centre itself is beautiful, light, bright , clean and comfortable.
How big will the class be?
I will limit class size to 10 places. I want to keep the classes smaller and intimate , safe and nurturing.
Will I have to make changes?
Yes! You probably will but don’t worry everything will be done in a step by step approach. You will fully understand why you are making the changes and I will show you exactly how to. The results of the changes will feel so good, so liberating that they will become easy to maintain….that’s generally how it goes!
But what if I don’t know anything about nutrition or natural health care?
Please don’t worry if this is your first time trying out new ways of eating and thinking about your health and wellbeing. I will teach you everything you need to know, and there will be a strong practical focus.
I will show you how to make food to support perimenopause and (the best bit!) you’ll get to taste it all too. You will be given all of the recipes I make and worksheets and other resources. There will be extra online live sessions to keep you motivated throughout the weeks.
I’m worried that I wont be able to make the changes
Change is often challenging but when we have the knowledge to support it, and when they make our day to day life easier, going to work manageable and make us look our best it is much easier to maintain.
This 6 week period will inspire you to begin, and the support doesn’t begin and end at the weekly sessions, you will be part of a private Facebook group to support each other throughout.
